It is finally here! The long awaited Motley Crue bio pic “The Dirt” trailer has been released to us crue heads. What started as a local Hollywood California band quickly blew up to be one of the biggest Rock n Roll bands of all time. And now you get to witness this debauchery on screen. The movie was written after the book “The Dirt.” Every page of that book is a story that pulls you into the crazy world of Motley Crue.
“The Dirt is an unflinching and uncensored story about sex, drugs, rock ‘n roll, fame, and the high price of excess.”
This excess took Motley Crue from the gutters of Hollywood California to stages around the world, while rewriting the definition of what it meant to be the Bad Boys of Rock. For quite sometime Crue fans wondered what actors could pull off acting like the notorious band. To my amazement, I was at ease when I seen the list of great actors and musicians. Nikki Sixx, 26-year-old English actor Douglas Booth has starred in an array of films including Noah, Jupiter Ascending and Loving Vincent. Giving Booth his seal of approval, Nikki Sixx described him as “a killer actor.” 28-year-old American rapper Machine Gun Kelly – plays Tommy Lee in the film. The latest movie Machine Gun Kelly has played in was the highly successful “Bird Box” movie, starring Sandra Bullick, as well a showtime original series “Roadies.” 30-year-old Australian actor Daniel Webber, who plays Vince Neil, shot to fame playing PTSD-hit war veteran Lewis Wilson in Netflix series The Punisher. Iwan Rheon as Mick Mars
Iwan Rheon is Recognized for his role as the sadistic Ramsay Bolton from HBO’s Game of Thrones.
Motley Crue said farewell on New Years eve 2015 in Los Angeles, CA. after playing their last show ever. Fast forward to the fall of 2018, Mötley Crüe reunited in the studio to lay down new songs for The Dirt.
Vocalist Vince Neil broke the news in September, writing on Twitter: “Exciting news! I’ll be going back in recording studio in a few weeks with the boys to record 4 brand new Motley Crue tracks! Rock On!!”
After being bombarded with questions, Vince later clarified things: “For those of you who don’t understand, yes “the boys” means Motley and we signed a contract not to tour anymore. We never broke up or said we would never make music again. Hope this clears it up.”
I had to read this tweet a couple of more times to let it sink in, that my all time favorite band was in the studio recording music, not only for the world but for their very own movie. So, to all of the Crue fans around the world, the wait is finally over. This long awaited movie will be released March 22. If you are having viewing parties please send us pictures so we can post them.
