Godsmack rolled into Noblesville and the Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center on their When Legends Rise Tour and brought along Shinedown and Like A Storm.
Like A Storm hailing from New Zealand warmed up the crowd with their heavy baritone guitar riffs and there didgeridoo, rocking the crowd with songs like Become the Enemy, Pure Evil, Love the Way You Hate Me. The choice to have these rockers to open up the show was a great idea as that is what they did for the 30 minute set.
Shinedown didn’t disappoint or pull any punches with their set in support of their sixth studio album Attention Attention rocked tracks like Black Soul, Devil giving the 25,000 plus crowd a taste of their new album, when I said that they did not disappoint, Brent Smith’s and Shinedown’s ability to interact with the crowd and bring the energy out of themselves into the crowd is one of the best I have seen, this was the fourth time I have seen them live and each time they get better, of course Brent’s desire to entertain the crowd up close and personal when he ventures into the lawn at Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center and does acoustic set of songs including 45, Simple Man, Follow You Down. Shinedown for sure has a great light show, pyro’s, and defiantly love to entertain.
When Godsmack takes the stage you can count on a high energy show, in support of their seventh studio album When Legends Rise the follow up to their 1000hp album. They rocked the stage and have not lost a step since their debut in 1998. They rocked out with all of their hits and few off their new album such Bulletproof, when Legends Rise. Once again Godsmack put on a fantastic show and had a great lineup of supporting acts.
